A partner primary school to First Class Supply, based in Newcastle, would like to appoint a Breakfast Club / After School Club Leader.

Responsibilities include:
  • Advise, support and assist the Headteacher in the development of an effective programme of activities ensuring appropriate equipment, facilities and services are available
  • Supervise the work of breakfast/after school assistants
  • Undertake activities with pupils that promote the development of intellectual, moral, spiritual and social skills
  • Respond to the practical needs of children where there is an identified special educational need
  • Provide general care and welfare by responding appropriately to the social, emotional and physical needs of pupils
  • Assist in the control of income and expenditure for the breakfast/after school club ensuring relevant records are maintained
  • Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and act in accordance with the schools policies and procedures
  • The postholder will have the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons they are responsible for, or comes into contact with
To be successful in this role you must:
  • Demonstrate a positive impact on pupil development
  • Have the energy and motivation to achieve excellence
  • Deliver a dynamic and stimulating learning environment to engage pupils
  • Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in childcare
