Further Information
Required from September 2017, we are seeking to appoint a teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning; has commitment and expertise; and who will enthuse and motivate both teachers and pupils. As a Teaching School, we are keen to find a highly motivated “PE Teacher with Humanities” Geography, History, RE & Citizenship. This is a full time post which would suit a newly qualified or an experienced teacher and it would be helpful if applicants could state their curriculum strengths and expertise. We have high aspirations not only for our students but also our staff as we invest in professional development opportunities to enable staff to flourish, and contribute to the vision and development of PCMS.

You will be an excellent practitioner, committed to continual improvement, promoting an ethos of enjoyment, challenge, attainment and achievement.
Knowledge of, and experience in, ICT is expected as we have Interactive White Boards in all classrooms and use SIMS rigorously.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding Primary teacher and will be expected to make contributions to our Teaching School commitment and bespoke School to School support.

Please note that we are currently in the process of converting to Academy status. This is anticipated to take effect from Summer 2017, and as such, you will then be employed by the Academy Trust. Until this takes place you will be employed by the Governing Body.

An application pack, including an application form, is available to download below. Completed application forms should be returned directly to the school by post and/or by e-mail, no later than midday on Wednesday 10 May 2017.

Further information about the school can be found on our website.

Visits to our school are encouraged and will take place after school from Wednesday 26 April to Tuesday 9 May 2017. Please telephone to make an appointment with the Headteacher, Dr Caroline Pryer.

Observations will take place on Tuesday 16 May 2017.
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 17 May 2017 (times to be confirmed).

Ponteland Middle School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced criminal records check is required for this post. Reference checks will be requested for all short listed candidates.
