PRICE (Intervention Skills) Trainer – Children’s Homes Service
You will lead in the delivery of a range of training which safeguards our children and young people. You will provide training to support delivery of best practice, strategic and operational priorities for the Children’s Homes Service.
You would be expected to take a lead role working with Children’s Homes Managers on the development, co-ordination, implementation, and evaluation of high quality behaviour management training.
You will take the lead in promoting and embedding a positive and safe environment within our Children’s Homes. You will inspire an aspirational approach to support our teams in our vision of providing high quality care and support to our children and young people. The post holder will support managers and Children’s Homes employees in embedding a culture of de-escalation and positive intervention when caring for our children and young people who may present behaviours that challenge.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a child centred practitioner who has experience of working with young people and their families, as well as working with challenging behaviour in a professional setting. You must have experience of facilitating training or coaching alongside experience of planning and delivery of training programmes.
Candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively using a range of methods to meet the needs of our growing workforce. It is essential that you can demonstrate effective planning and organisation skills.
Candidates must hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent as stated in the Children’s Homes Regulations. Candidates should also hold valid Train the Trainer in PRICE or have a willingness to undertake upon commencement in post.
There may be some weekend and evening working within the childrens homes.
The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
