This post is a new role in the Pensions Governance & Investments section of Finance, Governance and Support. The post is to support section's management team with their work for the Teesside Pension Fund. The post offers an excellent opportunity to gain substantial knowledge and experience in the governance and management of the Pension Fund, and a deep insight into the outsourced pension administration function.
The successful candidate's key responsibilities are to oversee & manage the outsourced pension administration function, manage other procurement contracts required by the Fund, assist the team with ensuring there are good governance arrangements in place for management and stewardship of the Fund. The successful candidate will also play a key role in the contractual relationship with XPS (previously Kier Group) and will be at the heart of the project looking into the options for providing the pension administration function before the existing outsource contract expires.
Prospective candidates should have a good background in contract management, finance/accountancy or administration/governance. We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, is organised and enthusiastic, and someone who will take hold of this new role and develop it.
