Durham Music Service requires a part time (0.4 fte) temporary Guitar Teacher/ Instructor from January 2019 to August 2019. Durham Music Service is the lead partner in the Music Education Hub for County Durham and Darlington.

We are looking to appoint a well-qualified, experienced, committed, motivated, hard-working, organised and enthusiastic colleague to achieve the highest standards for our music students.

Applicants must have a recognised music performance qualification (Grade 8 or equivalent) on their principal instrument and either a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.

We are keen to invite applications from teachers who wish to be involved in delivering both whole class ‘First Access’ programmes and small group tuition. Teachers must be able to offer whole class ukulele tuition as well as guitar for both whole classes and small groups. The post also includes a weekly twilight commitment. The job involves travel across County Durham /Darlington and candidates must be able to meet this provision. Teachers employed by the service enjoy nationally agreed conditions of service.
