We are seeking to fill a vacancy in the Planning Enforcement Team. The Council wants to achieve the highest standards of quality, customer responsiveness and performance and need to fill this important post.
You will be required to deal with complaints, as well as working proactively, undertake investigations, liaising with elected members and consultees preparing written recommendations for decisions by the Development Manager. You will have knowledge of English planning legislation and be required to appear in court and at other forums on behalf of the Council.
It is essential that you have good investigation skills, can maintain relevant records and show drive in progressing cases to meet the required deadlines. You must have great customer care at all times even when dealing with breaches in planning control.
You will need a full driving licence and access to a car during normal working hours.
