The post holders will provide professional support to Managers, Principal and Senior Officers in the preparation and review of the Northumberland Local Plan, particularly in areas concerning infrastructure planning and development viability. The post holders will also provide support and professional advice to town and parish councils involved in neighbourhood planning.
You will assist in policy implementation and monitoring and in the delivery of plans, projects and programmes relating to spatial planning and other place shaping Council Services across Northumberland.
It is essential that you possess a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent vocational qualification. You must also have the knowledge of the main operational, procedural and practical issues relating to plan making and should have specific experience in supporting the preparation of neighbourhood plans. You must be able to demonstrate experience in spatial planning, engaging effectively with others and building productive partnerships.
