Further Information
We're looking for an experienced programme leader to help shape the future of public transport across the North East.
As Principal Programme Manager (Transport Customer Experience), you will lead the development and delivery of major transport programmes, including the transition to zero-emission buses and the continued development of The Angel Network. Working with colleagues, local authorities, operators and delivery partners, you will help ensure that investment in transport delivers real improvements for passengers and communities.
You'll oversee a portfolio of complex and strategically significant programmes, leading multidisciplinary projects and working closely with local authorities, transport operators, government departments and delivery partners. From developing business cases and securing funding to managing delivery, performance and benefits realisation, you'll play a key role in turning ambitious plans into tangible outcomes for passengers and communities.
We're looking for someone with strong programme management experience, excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work confidently in a complex stakeholder environment. In return, you'll have the opportunity to influence how public transport develops across the region and contribute to creating a cleaner, more accessible and better-connected transport network for the people of the North East.
We are proud to be an inclusive employer, and we welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, communities and experiences. We support flexible working and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented including women, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
If you are organised, collaborative, detail-oriented and motivated by delivering successful projects that make a positive impact, we would love to hear from you.
