The Service
We are looking for a highly motivated person to work within a busy section dealing with external and Internal customers. Giving support to departments within the council and working to daily deadlines also undertakes all associated tasks within the Print Unit

Undertaken individually or as part of a team, these are examples of some of the duties that may be expected/ develop into:

You must have a good general standard of literacy and numeracy and good verbal/stroke communication/IT skills
Handling/processing deliveries, lifting and handling of stock
Printing on production kit and wide format
Scanning/photocopying and print finishing will be required
Provide an effective and efficient service to internal and external customers
Deal with customers face to face and on the telephone
Individually or part of a team giving office support using information systems accuracy and confidentiality required at all times

The duties and responsibilities highlighted in this Job Description are indicative and may vary over time. Post holders are expected to undertake other duties and responsibilities relevant to the nature, level and extent of the post gaining many skills in digital print.

Although applicants do not need to have any prior experience, they must be willing to undertake duties and training to gain experience in Level 3 Print Assistant Apprenticeship, all responsibilities will be supported with offsite apprenticeship training.

Our Apprenticeships are structured training programmes which give you the opportunity to gain on the job experience whilst working towards a recognised apprenticeship standard. They help you gain the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your chosen industry. Getting into employment earlier means there's lots of potential for you to progress in your career quickly. Essential requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/c or equivalent)
