Sunderland College are seeking to fulfil the post of a Procurement Manager on a full time, permanent basis. The individual must be able to demonstrate their qualifications and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior procurement role, be able to work with key partners whilst sensitively managing the expectations of stakeholders within the College.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for identifying where efficiencies can be achieved aligning procurement contracts and implementing the model for delivery. Working on your own initiative but reporting to Senor Management the individual should have experience of Spend analysis, Contract registers, Procurement Plans, Quotations, OJEU & below threshold requirements for Tender, framework agreements, DPS, Mini Competitions, Negotiations, Contract Management following EU & UK Procurement regulations, Remedy Directives and College Financial regulations. The Individual will be working across all levels of the College, therefore you will use your outstanding negotiation and conflict resolution skills to achieve sound procurement decisions. Procurement advice, support, guidance and training may also be required to be provided by the individual to internal stakeholders.

The individual will need to manage their workload effectively so that they can coordinate, monitor, evaluate & record the impact of efficiency savings.

The Individual may also be requested to participate in ‘Meet the Buyer Events’ and Pre-Market Engagement as well as continue their Professional development in Procurement.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification. Experience in the Public Sector is desirable.
