PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
SOUTH TEES PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LOCAL DELIVERY PILOT
Salary: £42,093, 37hrs per week
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, charismatic and highly motivated individual with a passion for reducing inequalities and improving health and wellbeing. South Tees (Redcar & Cleveland and Middlesbrough) is one of Sport England’s twelve pilot areas for a radical, ambitious and ground-breaking programme to tackle inactivity and increase physical activity through whole system change.
You will provide high profile, visible and effective leadership for the development of the Programme working closely with the core stakeholders and Sport England. In addition, you will manage the overall delivery of the programme, maximising outcomes for local people, guiding and performance managing the delivery of specific initiatives by partners and subcontractors.
You will have a proven track record of strategic leadership, developing positive relations and operational management in a dynamic and challenging environment, with demonstrable experience of setting up and operating in high level partnerships across multisectoral settings. You will need to demonstrate excellent knowledge of local, regional and national challenges from a public health perspective and understanding of systems approaches. In addition, you will have a passion for Asset Based Community Development and co-production with communities and agencies to promote health, wellbeing and resilience.
