DurhamWorks is a dedicated programme for young people aged 16-24 living in County Durham who are not in education, employment or training.
We are a partnership programme between Durham County Council and a number of organisations working together to support young people and help them create their future.
We are looking to recruit a number of Progression Workers to join our team. You will be based in various locations across Durham, namely either in the North, East or South of the county.
The role of Progression Worker is to use creative approaches to engage with and provide support to young people to enable them to progress into and remain in education, employment or training.
You will need experience of working with young people who are NEET, a minimum of a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, but the willingness to work towards a level 3. Ideally this will be in Information, Advice and Guidance however a willingness to work towards further study in this area would be acceptable.
