Further Information
Join our Economic Inclusion and Child Poverty team as a Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering impactful, strategic projects that improve outcomes for communities across the North East. In this dynamic role, you will coordinate and lead effective project management arrangements; including steering groups, expert units and task groups to ensure that projects are designed and delivered in accordance with our strategic commitments, and are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard. You will help shape meaningful change by supporting initiatives that align with the North East Combined Authority’s vision for inclusive growth and reduced child poverty.
As a key member of the team, you will lead project design, planning and review meetings, working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and external stakeholders to co-ordinate detailed project plans and ensure strong representation of the North East CA. You will establish and guide project teams and workstreams, allocating tasks and providing appropriate supervision to support successful delivery. Your ability to communicate clearly, engage stakeholders effectively and promote strategic priorities will be central to driving progress and securing positive outcomes for residents.
This role also offers the opportunity to influence strategy and inform decision-making at a regional level. You will interpret local and national policy, provide informed advice to managers, and contribute to service planning activities to ensure alignment with organisational priorities. By reporting on project outcomes and championing best practice, you will help shape future approaches to economic inclusion and child poverty, making a real difference to the lives of people across the North East.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and particularly encourage candidates who are underrepresented in senior roles, including women, disabled people, LGBTQ+ people and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.
If you are passionate about making a difference to the North east region and have the skills and experience, we're looking for, we would love to hear from you.
