An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hard-working, positive individual who is self-motivated, within the Client Property & Financial Affairs Team.

Client Property & Financial Affairs Team provide financial assistance to clients living in residential accommodation and within the local community who are under Appointeeship and Court of Protection (Deputyship).

This is an interesting and varied role and responsibilities will include dealing with new and existing client’s finances and property; maximising client’s income and dealing with claims for appropriate state benefits; dealing with claims for housing benefit/council tax support; checking and authorising client’s varied expenditure and payment of invoices/bills and liaising with Suppliers in writing and by telephone, to respond to enquiries and make arrangements to clear debts; assisting with protection of property and assisting in the arrangement of Public Health Funerals.

You must have financial experience and be PC literate, Excel experience is essential and be able to work accurately within agreed targets and deadlines and ideally be experienced and confident in the use of a business on line banking system.

The service provides support to clients with mental health and learning disabilities and you must have enthusiasm and motivation to learn with an empathetic nature.

The successful candidate must be a team player who can work accurately whilst focusing on priorities and achieving targets. Strong customer service and communication skills both orally and in writing are also required, with the ability to deal with matters effectively in challenging and sensitive situations.
