An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pharmacist to join the Public Health team within Sunderland City Council. The team is committed to the challenge of delivering improvements in health outcomes and reducing health inequalities for local people.

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist with drive and ambition to provide strategic pharmaceutical leadership and professional pharmaceutical advice to the Director of Public Health and her team to ensure accountability for the safety, quality and effectiveness of medicines and pharmaceutical services in public health strategies, programmes and commissioned public health services

Demonstrable experience in delivering pharmaceutical advice and support at strategic and operational levels, interpreting and applying statutory and legal requirements relating to medicines, an understanding of professional standards, and the ability to lead the implementation of medicines governance arrangements for commissioned public health services are required. Applicants must hold a current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
