An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and hard-working Commercial Heating Repairs/Servicing Engineer within North Tyneside Council’s Housing Property and Construction service.

The successful candidate will become part of a committed team of skilled trades personnel who carry out responsive repairs and servicing in public buildings and residential homes throughout the borough of North Tyneside. You will support the delivery of servicing, repairs and replacements of all commercial heating and DHW Systems including BEMS services and legionella remedial support works.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer care skills and consistently deliver high quality work. They will take pride in their work, possess an element of multi-skilling and will ideally possess a good understanding of working in a Local Authority or in the Social Housing Sector.

The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with current legislation, british standards, codes of practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards. They should also be able to read drawings and identify all necessary materials to carry out the work.

The successful candidate will be provided with access to a van to carry out the role.

The salary for this role currently includes an additional market supplement of £4,000 pa. Details of the terms of the supplement are available from the recruiting manager.
