This is an exciting time to be working for Middlesbrough Council. The town is facing significant change and challenges with many new and quality developments occurring throughout the town. Environment Services are at the centre of much of what is happening.
A number of Seasonal Refuse Loader Posts are available within the Recycling & Waste Services. These posts are initially to help us over the Spring/Summer Period.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Achieve the Mayors vision for Middlesbrough through the delivery of the Councils range of services provided by the Recycling & Waste Services.
• Collecting Recycling & Refuse waste from domestic and Council premises.
• Ensure that Health & Safety Legislation is adhered to at all times.
• Support the Senior Area Care Manager (Waste) in the provision of effective service delivery.
• Middlesbrough Council is totally committed to continuous organisational and employee development. The post holder is required to participate fully in all initiatives, which facilitate continuous improvement in both service quality and employee development and performance.
• The core hours of the post are 37 per week, currently over a four day week, Tuesday to Friday. However, the successful applicants will be expected to work overtime as and when required including evenings, weekends and Bank Holiday Catch ups.
