Working alongside the Regional Intelligence Analyst and local trading standards officers, the RIDSO provides intelligence support in obtaining, researching, collating, evaluating, assessing and reporting on matters linked to the work of enforcement partners across the North East. Involved in the interpretation of trends and patterns they will provide the information and intelligence required by partners to deliver better enforcement related outcomes for consumers and businesses across the North East.

As part of a small team within the North East they also link in with seven other Regions forming the Trading Standards Regional Intelligence Network across the UK.

The position is based in Middlesbrough but requires visits to all partners across the region meaning a full driving licence is a requirement of the role.
