Coast & Country are a leading housing and regeneration company, based in the Tees Valley. We provide over 10,500 homes across a variety of different tenures, from rental stock to shared ownership and outright market sale units. Coast & Country’s vision is ‘working together to make a difference’: with our customers, employees, volunteers and other stakeholders.

An exciting opportunity exists to join our HomeCall team as a Relief Independent Living Advisor. HomeCall supports 5,000 vulnerable people to remain living independently and safely in their own home, and the role involves some of the following key tasks:

• Providing emergency response visits, for example assisting a customer in the event of a fall at home, or providing support and re-assurance to customers if they are unwell or are in need of assistance;
• Installation of a range of assistive technology equipment and undertaking maintenance and repair activity
• Collecting and maintaining accurate customer information to support a person centred, quality service to our customers
• Contributing to promotional activities
• Providing information and advice to our customers.

The HomeCall service operates on a 24/7 basis and as such the Relief Independent Living Advisor will work a variety of working patterns including both day and night working.

Relief Independent Living Advisors work on an as and when required basis to provide cover for both planned and unplanned absences, the role provides critical support to ensure continued 24/7 delivery of the HomeCall service to our customers.

The successful applicant will have a professional and customer orientated approach, a passion for working with elderly or vulnerable people, be forward thinking, solution focused and champion the services offered through HomeCall. They will have the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, use initiative and build strong relationships across the service area and with partner organisations.

This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Scheme (DBS) check with adults barred list check.

A full driving licence is required (if you have a disability we will explore reasonable adjustments with you).

In return, as well as working within our fantastic team, Coast & Country offer excellent terms and conditions including a 10% employer contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave entitlement and flexible working, death in service insurance cover, local discounts and the chance to work and develop within a dynamic, friendly environment.
