We are looking for exceptional people to come and join our team, working to change the lives of young people in our care.

We are looking for permanent Residential Workers to care for and co-ordinate the activities of young people on a day to day basis, so that exceptional outcomes are achieved in respect of the quality care standards.

The postholder will work alongside young people ensuring their best interests and well-being are prioritised, keeping them safe whilst developing their potential within and outside Aycliffe Secure Centre.

You will be required to work to Children's Homes Regulations and Youth Custody Service guidance to provide for young people's physical and emotional needs as necessary. The postholder will keep accurate records, prepare reports and contribute to the young people's care planning, reviews and meetings as required.

The role entails shift working between 7.30am and 11pm on a rota basis with some sleep-in duties

Essential Qualifications:

* 4 GCSEs (grade A – C) including Maths and English or equivalent and/or
NVQ Level 3 in Child Care.

* Commitment towards undertaking and maintaining required training standards
in accordance with the updated career pathway.
