This post would best suit a leader with proven experience of bringing about whole school change. We are keen to appoint an outstanding, highly organised and driven practitioner who has the skills to lead others and work collaboratively with staff, parents and pupils to ensure that the needs of all our pupils with SEN are met and they make excellent progress. The role is a key leadership position in our school. The successful candidate will have experience of raising the attainment of pupils and identifying and implementing strategies to support pupils with identified needs to achieve their full potential. The post involves working closely with other agencies. The post is suitable for an excellent classroom practitioner with a genuine interest in SEN and the effective use of interventions to support the progress of learners with additional needs, especially in English and maths. The successful candidate must hold or have a commitment to gaining the National Award for SEN Coordination. • Be a committed Catholic. • Demonstrate outstanding practice in teaching & learning. • Be able to work as part of a team and contribute to the wider school context. • Have excellent interpersonal skills. • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour.
