Ribbon Academy is a 'good' three-form entry primary school situation on the east coast of County Durham. We are looking to recruit a SEND Intervention teacher to join our caring and supportive school community.

The successful candidate will help us provide a supportive, stimulating environment and share our high expectations of achievement for all our children. We have wonderful children and dedicated staff that go that extra mile every day.

We are looking for a SEND Intervention teacher who:

• Has knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs
• Has good literacy and mathematical skills
• Is hard working and adaptable to change
• Has a secure understanding and knowledge of observing children’s learning
• Is able to monitor pupil progress, ensuring achievement.
• Has knowledge & understanding of record preparation and keeping in relation to SEND pupils
• Shows evidence of practices that have improved pupil outcomes.

We offer:

• A passionate, driven and successful school where you will feel well supported in your role
• A robust induction process
• Full administration support
• Individualised professional development and career enhancement opportunities
• The support of an experienced, and growing, Senior Leadership Team

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory DBS Enhanced Disclosure and supportive references.

Should you be successful in your application for this post, your appointment can not be progressed without this declaration.

Completed application forms should be returned to the school no later than Friday 27th April 2018
These can be delivered by hand or post to the school, or by e mail to j.henderson203@durhamlearning.net
