SEND Learning Support Assistant required for July 2018
Fixed term contract for one year in the first instance
Full Time 32 hours per week
Grade C+ (Points 16-18) £18,319-£18,870 Pro rata
Term time plus five staff development days

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidate will support pupils with additional needs within our EYFS provision. This is a fixed term contract for one year in the first instance dependent on the future needs of the SEND pupils the role will be reviewed on an annual basis.

Saltburn Primary is a large school federated with Huntcliff Secondary School on a joint learning campus that is seeking to recruit a LSA to join our very successful pastoral team. Our most recent Ofsted inspection November 2013 identified our school as ‘good’. The campus is also part of the East Cleveland Co-operative Learning Trust; working together with other local schools to raise the achievement and attainment of all of our learners.

The successful candidate would be willing to have full involvement with the wider aspects of school life and the local community. It is essential that the person appointed possesses excellent English and Maths skills, can be flexible and is able to work as part of a team and across all year groups. You must be familiar with the guidance in the SEND Code of Practice and have the expertise to support/mentor pupils with a variety (academic/physical/medical/behaviour) of needs.
