£43,757 pa
The successful candidate for the above post will lead and manage SEND Services and will work closely with the Service Manager, SEND, Access and Inclusion and with SEND officers and support staff towards the objectives of the team, of the Learning and Early Help Service and of the wider strategic group.
Previous experience of working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families will be essential, as will a good working knowledge of current SEND-related legislation and the SEND Code of Practice. A key task will be to ensure that the Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment and planning process runs efficiently and that statutory deadlines are met.
The post-holder will need to be able to work under pressure in a busy office environment, to delegate where appropriate, to advise and support colleagues and to identify priorities when faced with competing demands.
