The Governing Body, children and staff of our thriving school are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic learning assistant to support a pupil with a statement for educational needs and hearing loss until they leave our school.

We are looking for someone special who:
• Is sympathetic to the strong Catholic ethos of our parish school
• Aims for excellence at all times
• Has a passion to make a difference, is a good communicator with a real ability to inspire and motivate. They will provide support for literacy and numeracy and other tasks as identified by the class teacher
• Has recent and relevant experience or working with young children, preferably in an educational setting and with children with a hearing loss
• Has excellent communication and listening skills, and an ability to relate well to children and adults
• BSL (CACDP/Signature) 2 qualification or BSL level 1 with a commitment to achieving level 2 would be desirable
• Experience of resource preparation and differentiation to support learning programmes
• General awareness of inclusion policies and practice
