This is an exciting opportunity and an ideal time to join us. We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic professional to drive forward the work of the both the Adult Safeguarding Partnership Board and Children’s Safeguarding Board. The successful candidate will have a key role in ensuring a smooth transition from Local Safeguarding Board arrangements to the new Safeguarding Children Partnership.

You will have either a relevant qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Teaching or Youth Work (or equivalent) with 5 years post qualifying experience and professional background working within safeguarding (adults and / or children), OR 5 years direct experience of working with child and / or adult safeguarding boards.

You will need experience of both managing projects and developing practice.

Your role will be to provide business management and coordination to the Boards and support the Director of Children and Adult Services, Independent Chairs, Agency representatives and Lay Members of the respective Boards and sub-groups.

The Business Manager has line management responsibility for the Safeguarding Boards’ Development Officers and Multi-Agency Training Officer.
