Required as soon as possible, two safeguarding and attendance officers (one to work across Middlesbrough Academies and one to work across Gateshead Academy) The role required is to support the development of safeguarding and child protection policies, training and procedures and guidance for River Tees Multi Academy Trust. To assist in the coordination of referrals, arranging action and reviewing services for children and families and to monitor, report and take action to improve attendance.

We are seeking to recruit a flexible, experienced and excellent safeguarding and welfare officers who will implement policies and procedures, liaise with outside agencies and assist in safeguarding Code for the Trust. The successful candidate will ensure that vulnerable pupils are supported appropriately and that intervention and attendance meetings are successfully carried out.

Our fantastic students can have significant challenging behaviours and often have unidentified learning difficulties. An ability to work with a team of dedicated teaching staff, working closely with parents/carers and associated professionals, is absolutely essential.

There are two positions available, one will be at the Middlesbrough Academies (River Tees Primary, Middle and High). The second post will be at River Tyne Academy Gateshead. Candidates should clearly state on their application which position they are applying for.
