Further information

Darlington Hippodrome is a 1000 seat, grade II listed Edwardian theatre. It is owned and operated by Darlington Borough Council and is at the heart of Darlington’s cultural offer and its sense of community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the theatre team at a key time, following a recent £13.7m restoration funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This has both conserved the theatre and created a thrilling new 21st Century theatre offer, which includes drama, music, dance, comedy, exhibitions and creative learning.

We are seeking an exceptional person to take up a senior role within our organisation, following the retirement of the current post holder. You will assume strategic responsibility for our marketing and box office teams and bring energy and innovation to driving forward audience development and sales.

A creative and dedicated professional with management experience, a proven track record and a passion for theatre, you will possess excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues and our audiences.

For detailed information on this role, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification.

For a further informal discussion please contact Lynda Winstanley, Director Darlington Hippodrome, on 01325 406735.

An online application form and further information are available from www.darlington.gov.uk/jobs. Alternatively, you can contact Xentrall Recruitment Services, Tel: (01642) 526992 or email: recruitment@xentrall.org.uk
