Hours: The job is offered on a variable hour contract of 18 to 30 hours. It is likely to be 25 hours initially.

Band 3 (£16 481 to £17 547 PRO RATA ) Term time + 5 days

We are looking to appoint an Administrative Officer to work in our busy school office. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to work. You will need to be highly organised and committed to the wellbeing of children.

The successful candidate will also be the receptionist to the school so will need to be pleasant and helpful, dealing with the many and varied visitors and queries to school.

Main Purpose of the job:

Under the guidance of the Acting Head Teacher and, our Administrative Officer will be responsible for the administration, finance and organisation of school processes. The nature of the role means that the candidate will have to be adaptable to a quickly changing school day and the needs of children, staff and parents.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Deal with complex reception/visitor matters
Contribute to the planning, development and organisation od support service systems
Organise school trips and events
Manage manual and computerised record and information systems eg SIMS or Scholar Pack
Undertake typing, word processing and complex IT tasks
Complete and submit complex forms and returns eg LA local accounts
Monitor and manage stock within an agreed budget
Comply with policies and procedures
Child protection
Health and Safety
Data Protection
Confidentiality
