We are looking to recruit two School Crossing Patrol Officers to operate in the following areas, term time only:
1. Union Street, close to Newport Primary School
The crossing times are 8.25 to 9.10 am and 2.50 to 3.35 pm, a total of 7 hours 30 minutes per week.
2. Kader Avenue, outside Kader Academy
The crossing times are 8.15 to 9.00 am and 2.45 to 3.30 pm, a total of 7 hours 30 minutes per week.
The posts involve assisting children and adults across the road on their way to and from school each morning and afternoon during site-specific school term times.
An awareness of the Highway Code, together with experience of working with children and young people, would be advantageous although not essential, as full training will be given.
Full uniform, including waterproof clothing, will be provided.
