An education finance opportunity has arisen in Children’s Services within the Health and Wellbeing Group. The primary responsibility of the role is to take responsibility for all aspects of School Funding as the Council works towards the implementation of the National Funding Formula for all schools by April 2021. The post is therefore a fixed term post until March 2021.

The role will be responsible for the management of the Dedicated Schools Grant, as well as High Needs, Early Years and Central Schools Service funding totalling £230 million per annum. You will work productively with the Schools Forum in the management of these resources to ensure good governance, and effective communication with schools.

Prospective Candidates must have an understanding of Education Finance and experience in the use of spreadsheet packages. They must be able to communicate effectively across a range of forums in both written reports and presentations. The post holder will be expected to work to tight deadlines, and work with a high degree of accuracy will be required. Applications will be considered on a fulltime or flexible working basis.
