Middlesbrough Council is seeking to recruit 4 Seasonal Museum Visitor Services Assistants to work across two of the town’s key cultural venues.
Based at the Dorman Museum and Captain Cook Birthplace Museum you will be responsible for ensuring visitors get the most from their visit by answering queries, providing guidance for exhibits and ensuring public areas are kept safe, clean and tidy.
As the public face of the museum you will have a friendly, outgoing personality and a proven track record of providing exceptional customer care. Working as part of a small and committed team you will also undertake security duties and assist with health and safety procedures.
You will be required to work to an existing two week shift pattern and each post will include alternate weekends.
Experience in manual handling of objects and a full clean driving licence would also be highly desirable.
