An academy in Northumberland is working with First Class Supply to appoint a Science Teacher. The position will be on a part time basis, teaching three days per week and will commence in April 2018 until the end of the academic year. You will teach to Key Stages 3 and 4.
The site caters for pupils aged 11-19, and since opening has increased and raised attainment year on year. Focus is given to the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, however a broad range of options including vocational courses are available for learners. The aim is for to students to become resourceful, independent and successful.
To be successful in this role you must:
• have a strong classroom presence
• secure good progress for all students
• be able to inspire and motivate
• be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
• hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
• have recent experience / knowledge of teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4 within the UK National Curriculum.
