We are seeking to appoint a Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our small client focussed Building Control team.

Working alongside a second Senior Building Control Surveyor the core duties associated with the post will be undertaking detailed plan appraisals and carrying out site inspections on all types of projects from simple extensions to more complex projects ensuring building work complies with the Regulations. The role also involves enforcement of the Building Regulations in respect of contraventions. The workload will be varied, involving both large and small developments.

You will have extensive knowledge and experience of Building Control, and its wider functions, including the evaluation of proposals to determine validity, detailed plan appraisals and site inspections of complex building work on all types of development, the provision of specialist Building Regulation advice, enforcement of the Building Regulations and the marketing of the service

You should be motivated and committed to work within a small dedicated team to provide a consistent high quality service to our clients. You will have excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities, whilst seeking to maximise marketing opportunities and contributing to the improvement and development of the service.
