Senior Business Support Officer
Tees Valley Combined Authority
Location: Darlington

We have an exciting opportunity for a business support, administration and front of house professional to join our team as Senior Business Support Officer. The person will be responsible for helping to lead our reception services and provide general office management.

We have recently moved into a purpose built facility catering for more than 150 employees, supporting the business administration needs across the Group of 400 employees including organisations such as the Combined Authority, Teesworks, Teesside Freeport and Teesside Airport.

The role will involve daily general administration duties, maintaining high-profile relationships with stakeholders, councillors, MPs, and senior business figures, servicing meeting rooms and ultimately being one of the first points of contact for people to the Combined Authority Group.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the organisation as part of a growing team, within a new office environment and an opportunity to help influence the direction of the team.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player, have previous experience in a similar role and not afraid to lead from the front.

The person must be confident in building internal relationships at every level of the organisation and to create meaningful relationships with senior external figures.

The successful candidate will have experience in providing a wide range of administrative and financial support procedures and demonstrate work with confidential and sensitive information.

An ability to use their own initiative and to manage their own workload in a fast paced and quickly changing environment will be key.

If you have the passion to make a lasting impact on the Tees Valley then we would like to hear from you. The most important quality that we are looking for is a drive and commitment to be the best that you can be.

If you don’t meet the exact criteria, don’t worry. We want people with a desire to succeed and you may have transferrable skills that are very relevant to the role.
