Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to shape the council’s commercial waste services?
We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Waste Officer to manage and grow the council’s commercial waste operations. This is a key role in promoting and growing our commercial waste service with responsibility for day-to-day management of commercial waste functions. You’ll work closely with local businesses and operational teams to maximise resources while promoting and expanding our commercial waste offer.
What you’ll do:
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the management of our commercial waste functions and administrative requirements.
- Develop and maintain systems to capture and report performance data for commercial waste services.
- Ensure corporate information systems are up to date to plan and forecast service delivery effectively.
- Work closely with operational teams to maximise the use of resources.
- Drive growth of the council’s commercial waste service, increasing income and achieving targets.
- Provide professional advice to customers on waste and resource management, tailoring solutions to their business needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with experience in service delivery.
- Ability to develop processes and manage performance information effectively.
- Commercial awareness and confidence in promoting services and generating income.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships with customers and internal teams.
