We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Library & Information Assistant, based at HMP & YOI Kirklevington Grange Library. We are looking for somebody who has a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering a quality service to join the team.

You will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and have good communication skills as you will deal with members of the public of all ages and from a range of backgrounds. Previous library experience, or working with the public, would be advantageous, as would an interest in reading and knowledge of books.

Your primary role will be to help the Librarian in the day-to-day running of the library; issuing and receipting stock, processing stock and dealing with borrower’s enquiries. You will also be involved in delivering activities within the branch as well as at other venues where we might promote library services.

IT skills are essential. You will use our Library Management System, for which training will be given, as well as assisting members of the public with IT facilities.
