About the Team
We have a fantastic opportunity available within the Sanctions and Counter Terrorist Financing policy branch which will allow you to work closely with FCDO and OFSI to drive and design policy that has a real world impact.
The team sits within the wider Sanctions and Illicit Finance (SIF) team which develops policies and legislation to address economic crime and illicit finance in the UK and overseas to help protect the stability of the global financial system.

About the Job
In this role, you will:
- Lead policy on the use of the UK's domestic counter-terrorism sanctions regime, working closely with the Office for Financial Sanctions Implementation and the FCDO. This will involve working collaboratively across government to developing an approach to tackling key domestic threats.
- Develop HM Treasury's policy to counter-terrorism financing, working closely with the Home Office, law enforcement and wider agencies. You'll consider policy to address current threats and engage with the private sector and third sector to reduce risks to the UK.
- Work with the wider team on preparation for the UK's next Mutual Evaluation by the Financial Action Task Force.
- Play an active role within the wider team, including by contributing to corporate activities within the group and across HM Treasury.
About You

You'll need to be comfortable working on your own initiative, as priorities can change quickly!
