You will be a positive role model who will assist in developing the next generation of children’s social workers in the Academy. Northumberland understands that having a stable team of highly skilled social workers and managers makes a real difference to the lives of children and families. We are investing in the future through our ‘Academy’ for NQSWs who share our vision and values. This bespoke Academy in Northumberland is designed to develop skills, specifically for the demands of frontline child protection social work.

* You will have the knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding practice within a learning, nurturing environment, resulting in the creation and development of confident, caring social workers with a robust value base.
* You will always want to hear the child’s voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
* You will have a sound knowledge base of the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child and Family Social work and the application of Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) which will be embedded within all elements of practice.
* You will have an in-depth knowledge base around the Signs of Safety approach.

* You will care enough to want to make a difference - every day.

You will hold a relevant social work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the HCPC. You will have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience.

If you have the attributes listed above, come and join our team of enthusiastic, energetic and creative people as part of the Northumberland Academy.
