If you are a highly motivated, dynamic leader with substantial management experience then we would really like to hear from you. Due to the current post holder taking early retirement, we are seeking a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor or School Nursing), to be the strategic lead nurse for the 0 – 19 Health Visiting and School Nursing service, to ensure a high performing, cost effective service delivering the Healthy Child Programme.

The Health Visiting and School Nursing service in Redcar & Cleveland is exciting. We are unique as we sit as an integrated service with our colleagues in Education, Social Care and Early Help, working together with a joint focus on ensuring that all children and young people achieve optimum health outcomes and are able to access the right support they and their families require at the right time.

As the Service Manager, you will provide expert and dynamic leadership to a team of approximately 80 staff; you will be the lead with regards to all aspects of SCPHN practice. The service is registered with the Care Quality commission (CQC) and you will be required to undertake the role and responsibilities of CQC registered manager for the service and will also directly manage the Safeguarding Lead Nurse.

The 0 – 19 service sits within the Local Authority’s Directorate for Children and Families. You will report to the Assistant Director for Safeguarding and Early Help and will work with colleagues across the directorate to maximise all opportunities for integration of the 0 – 19 service.
