An opportunity has arisen to appoint a suitably experienced worker to this well established and supportive team. The team provides comprehensive social work service to users of the Older People's Mental Health Team and their families.

Applicants will need:
Good communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to multidisciplinary and partnership working with social workers, health colleagues, users and carers
Some experience of working in a similar role or with people who experience mental health difficulties
An understanding of how to work efficiently and effectively in challenging circumstances

The successful candidate will:
* undertake non complex assessments of the needs of older people with mental health difficulties
* arrange services to meet assessed needs
* support AMHPs during the statutory detention of individuals in need of emergency admission to hospital
* hold a recognised qualification in Social Care at least equivalent to an NVQ Level 3
* have daily access to a car in order to complete home visits efficiently
