Job Location: Spectrum Business Centre, Seaham, however you may be required to work at any DCC council office.

The successful post-holder will become part of a small number of social workers working within social care direct. In order to meet service user and other customer requirements in line with organisational standards and procedures it is expected that the successful post-holder may at times be required to work within the (CRU) Central Referral Unit and attend Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).

We are looking for an individual with experience in a Health or Social Care setting and of working with client groups serviced by the Team.

The individual must have a good knowledge of adult safeguarding and be able to work confidently alongside the police and other partner agencies.

Duties of the post include responding to all enquiries from members of the public or people from other agencies particularly in relation to safeguarding or vulnerable adult concerns. These queries may require the officer to deal with the enquiry via a number of alternative methods other than telephone and it is expected that the individuals will have good IT and communication skills to enable them to undertake these duties.

Required qualifications: Professional qualification Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent
(HCPC registration)
