The Fostering and Supported Lodgings Team in Darlington is offering a Social Worker post for a qualified Social Worker with at experience in children and families. Experience of work within a fostering team is essential.
Ideally we require a Social Worker with experience in completing Form C Connected Carer assessments, Form F assessments and Special Guardianship work. This includes contributing to Special Guardianship support plans, and planning for permanence where appropriate.
The worker would hold a caseload of foster carers and connected carers offering monthly supervision and completing annual foster carer reviews. The role also involves taking part in a duty rota - dealing with placement requests and undertaking pre-placement meetings.
We require a worker who is able to meet statutory timescales both for the completion of assessments, and the ability to ensure compliance with The Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
Darlington is a small Local Authority and the team is friendly and supportive. Darlington use Liquid Logic as a recording system.
