Salary- £29,055 - £38,052 pro rata per annum (Depending on experience and progression rules apply), plus an essential car user allowance of £1,239 per annum. Relocation package and £1,000 golden hello are available. An additional 2% recruitment and retention allowance will be applied to this position effective 1 October 2018.

We are currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join our ICRT Social Work Team; based together in modern accommodation at the Sandhill Centre, Sunderland.

You will safeguard and promote the welfare of the city’s most vulnerable unborn babies, children and young people, through the delivery of a high quality service by working in accordance with best practice, procedures and legislative requirements.

The Company is right in the middle of realising its improvement agenda and we are seeking committed and talented professionals with a number of post qualified years’ experience to join existing colleagues in our unique Company.
You will work directly with and also support children, young people and their families in completing child focused assessments. With proven experience in delivering statutory children’s social care services you will have knowledge of social care children’s legislation and be confident in delivering the best outcomes and decisions on behalf of service users. You must be an excellent team player and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues and partners.
Our Social Work offer is one of the most competitive across the region including a maximum earning potential of £40,052pa for a post qualified worker who has satisfied progression plus for external applicants an additional £1000 TfC retention payment payable on commencement (or after successful completion of the probationary period, if this applies). This is in addition to membership of the LGPS, 20% discount for a Nissan car and a generous annual leave entitlement.
