Middlesbrough Psychology Service is celebrating its second academic year as a re-established service.

We endeavour to strengthen our vibrant service of enthusiastic psychologists who are committed and passionate about the application of psychology in the service of children, young people and their families. As we shape our service, we work to harness a strong team spirit of togetherness. We value supervision, opportunities for professional and career development, critical thinking and ethicality of service delivery. We offer unique opportunities to both develop and be part of a strong, supportive team of Psychologists, which is embracing the challenge of navigating a new course with a new consultative framework of service delivery. This really is an exciting time to come and join us.

Our post holders will be actively involved in and contribute to the redefining and the re-development of the service. The specialist senior post holder will work within the senior leadership team (the Principal Educational Psychologist and other specialist seniors) to respond to service needs and local area priorities.

We welcome applications from experienced colleagues looking to build upon an established career, and who are looking for a new challenge.

The Psychology Service is part of the SEND and Vulnerable Learners Service. Following a strategic SEND-VL Service review and a local area inspection of SEND, Middlesbrough are implementing some key changes in the support and range of provision available for children, young people and families in our area.

For informal discussion about our Service delivery and direction, please contact Dr Fiona Alexander, Fiona_alexander@middlesbrough.gov.uk or telephone 01642 201861 / 728365.

The above post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. All applicants must be professionally qualified and HCPC registered or be in on a recognised training programme leading to professional registration.
