Position: Specialist Teacher
Salary: To be arranged subject to experience (M4-UPS1+ 1 SEN point)

The Key Stage 1 PRU / Behaviour Team are seeking to welcome an experienced Teacher to their Team of Specialist staff. The school support children (3-7yrs) across the city who are presenting with challenging behaviours which are preventing them from settling effectively to learning. The role entails developing skilled observations and advice giving within LA schools and nurseries. There will be a high level of commitment to teaching of children, within the PRU Provisions, who develop a Nurture Group approach.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to improving outcomes for these vulnerable children and to supporting families and other professionals. The person will be enthusiastic, energetic and be expected to bring inspirational and innovative ideas to further enhance the work of the school. They will also be expected to support the school as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, for which training will be provided. A growing knowledge of SEND would be an advantage.
Experience of recently working within Early Years or Key Stage One experience and managing challenging behaviour is preferred, though not essential.
Additionally demonstrating a strength in a curriculum area eg English or Early Years would be an advantage.
