Strategic Commissioning Manager, Childrens Social Care, Education and SEND

 

Are you an experienced commissioner with knowledge in children social care and education? Are you looking for a new challenge in management and strategic commissioning? This is an exciting time to join a growing all age commissioning service in a council with an excellent employee offer and working environment.

The role

You will lead a busy team, with a diverse portfolio of strategic commissioning activity for children and young people, spanning children’s social care, education and SEND. You will have a key role in strategy development and implementation, leading the delivery of service design and reviews, contract management, quality assurance and improvement, working with partners across the council and externally.

You will have significant management experience related to commissioning, contract management or quality assurance and knowledge around the needs of children and young people. You will be a team player with the ambition and commitment to achieve the best outcomes for local residents. About the Service

The Commissioning, Performance and Service Development Service has responsibility for all age commissioning, performance and systems, business assurance and service development. It works across adult social care, children’s social care and education, and in partnership with, corporate support services across the council, the NHS, local voluntary and community organisations and other public bodies.
