The Governors wish to appoint a caring and committed Supervisory Assistant to help the smooth running of lunchtimes in school. You will need to be reliable, enjoy working with children and as part of a team. You must be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of young people.

Duties of the post will include:-
• The care and supervision of children during the lunch break.
• Supervising Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 entry/exit into/from the dining hall of the pupils.
• Helping generally during the serving of meals. Assisting younger pupils as necessary. Supervision of the children eating their lunch.
• Ensuring good conduct and behaviour in line with the school's
• Behaviour Management Policy.
• Initiating and supervising games and activities either outside or inside to encourage positive and interactive play.
• Ensuring the welfare and safety of pupils during lunchtime.
• Providing simple first aid.

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
