Cleveland Fire Brigade is inviting applications for promotion/transfer to Crew Manager and Watch Manager roles. These positions are pivotal in delivering operational excellence, supporting community safety, and driving organisational improvement.
As a Crew Manager, you will provide day-to-day supervision and leadership to your crew, ensuring operational readiness, safe incident response, and effective delivery of prevention and protection activities. You will foster an inclusive team culture, support development through coaching and mentoring, and uphold the service values and standards.
As a Watch Manager, you will lead and manage a watch or functional team, providing visible, values-based leadership. You will ensure operational readiness, undertake incident command responsibilities, and drive performance, development, and cultural improvement. This role acts as the vital link between strategic intent and frontline delivery.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills in high pressure environments.
- Uphold and promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and health, safety and wellbeing.
- Are committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Can build collaborative relationships and positively influence team culture.
Essential requirements include:
- Substantive and competent in role one level below that applying for.
- Incident Command Level 1 qualification.
- Proven experience in supervising or managing teams and delivering organisational objectives.
