Sunderland Care and Support is a provider of high-quality care across Sunderland and we are passionate about supporting adults with a range of learning disabilities, mental health, autism and complex care needs.

We are seeking to recruit a Female Support Worker who is qualified in Sign Language or BSL Level 2 to work in one of our Supported Living Services which provides innovative and person-centre support to a lady who has a learning disability and who communicates using British Sign Language (BSL).

By personalising their support to promote and encourage self-determination, the team focus on supporting the customer to develop her skills for independent living by motivating and encouraging her to maximise her potential.

You should be motivated to provide high quality care and support, and as a team member you will have a passion to make a difference and work in an environment where you can have a positive impact on the everyday life of the customer you support.

We offer continuous development which includes a comprehensive induction, supervision and appraisal, and ongoing training opportunities to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to support the customer based on her personal needs.

We are keen to recruit someone with the integrity who can help us ensure our company values are at the heart of everything we do.

New Employees to the company will receive £500 when they begin their career at Sunderland Care and Support and £500 when they successfully complete their induction and probation (6 month). (The scheme is offered on a discretionary basis, and as such, the Company reserves the right to amend or withdraw it at any time at its discretion)
